Mission Statement Non Profit

One out of five young people in the Commonwealth of Virginia live with a severe mental illness. Half of all mental illness starts before age 14.

Over 200,000 children have grown up in poverty in Virginia in the past decade, ranked 8th in the nation in per capita income.

We know that poverty and mental illness are often linked.

The (name of the organization)’s mission is to give equal and open access to behaviorally based therapeutic counseling services regardless of ability to pay for Virginians from age five and beyond.

We offer:

  1. Family and Marriage Counseling
  2. Individual Counseling
  3. Substance Abuse Counseling
  4. Grief Counseling
  5. Trauma Therapy

We base our free counseling on the award-winning model at the James Bentley Treatment Program, which provides comprehensive services for at-risk children, youth, adults, and families in Virginia.
